an auto policy with them she lives on the other side of FL from you: St. Petersburg (Pinellas County). I'm suiprrsed you couldn't purchase coverage from them online since they do have a spot on their Web site where you input your Zip Code and can start a quote. However, I also know from past experience that the state of Florida has very stringent insurance laws; by Florida law, only an insurance agent who is licensed to do business in the state of Florida may talk to policyholders or potential policyholders. This is for the consumer's benefit and protection.I have no doubt that someone will respond to your e-mail soon since they would obviously want your business. I also noticed on their Web site a spot to look up locations of actual agency offices; although this is primarily a phone based carrier, they do have some actual offices. I'm not insured by GEICO myself but my understanding is that it's an excellent carrier (I love their ads, especially the sweet gecko and the one with the rescue black panther!). Worst case scenario is that if you don't hear from them soon and you can't find an actual local office, you could borrow a friend's cellphone perhaps if you can't get to a pay phone (an endangered species, sadly).I hope this helps you out! Good luck!
